Are you Tracking Your #Twitter Links?

One of the best parts of digital marketing for advertisers is the insane amount of data that can be collected. But are you taking advantage of it? In today's data driven world your clients or boss is going to what to know 'is it worth it' or whats the 'ROI'.

So why should you track who clicks on your links?
1. Information is power
2. You get better at what you do
3. Make your boss happy
4. Prove that your an asset to the company and not just the guy who gets paid to be on Twitter all day

Heres how to start:
1. Find your favorite URL shortener. I'm a huge fan of Google (I want to be on their good side when they talk over the world) so I use goo.gl, but there are many others (bit.ly, tiny url.com, etc).
2. Sign up! This is the most important part. Once you sign up the site will remember your links and track and analyze the click.
3. Remember to sign in and use it.

Soon enough you will be able to analyze what your click through rate is, the date and times people clicked, and their geographic location, and ton more. Not to mention it remembers the long and short url you created.
